Engine 2-4 was purchased in 1978 and was housed at William Cameron Engine Company's second fire house on West Market Street, East Buffalo Township.  At that time, It was the first due engine.  Set up to be a "do-it-all" engine capable of structural firefighting, it carried Class A and B foam.  In 1994, it was relieved of its duty as second due out of town structure fire piece with the purchase of Engine 2-3.   It then became the vehicle accident and vehicle fire engine which responded with Rescue 2-1.  Currently first due on local alarms, it is still set up to handle, and is fully capable of, structural firefighting.
